Kurt was one of my best friends. He was always a thoughtful, sweet and caring person who had a funny, mischievous side. I miss him greatly, but I know I will see him again someday.

Kurt,  we had the most amazing experience last week in San Diego and I feel so blessed to have known you. We could talk about anything it seems. Already missing you, I shall miss you until I join you above the clouds. Rest in comfort, Kurt. No more pain. Farewell my good and wonderful friend! 

I first met Kurt when I transferred to HF in the 7th grade. I knew no one, and was very alone, shy, and intimidated by my first experience in a public school. Kurt rode my bus and was in my first period class, and was the first person to speak to me, to help me find my way around; he was the first person to befriend socially-awkward me, even to take up for me when I was teased. I was always grateful to him for that. I remember the All Region tryouts, the encouragements when I doubted myself, the choir trips, the advice on long walks home from the bus stop...  I regret losing touch with Kurt, as I have with so many others from that time in my life, but I will always remember that unexpectedly booming voice -- as deep as the acceptance he extended to others, as big as his heart and as warm as his friendship.  Be at peace, Kurt. 

I never had the chance to meet you, but if you are anything like your sister I know you were a wonderful person! My heart aches for you Kay-Cee and family. I am praying for healing as you mourn Kurt's loss today!

I remember we met in 2006 at J.R.'s  and always played a few games of pool over a few drinks, good times.  Thirteen years goes so fast. You were such a nice guy,  You will be missed.

I remember meeting you for the first time playing pool back in 2003  and you were so sweet and kind to me and over time our friendship grew, there were times when we didn’t talk for a while but whenever we saw each other we just picked up where we left off.  I just saw you last week and I am truly heart broken, you will be truly missed my dear friend. I love you and Rest In Peace .

It’s such an honor being Kurt’s mom.  He gave me such pride.  I take great comfort that so many seen the light that shinned through him.  I praise God for this great honor.  My job is done, now he is home.  Rest now my baby.  Now everyone rejoice!!!

Only met this guy once at a friend's wedding in Vegas. But he was a super nice, friendly guy and I'm glad to have met him. I had a fun hanging out with him.

You were always so caring when I ran into you. The BIGGEST hugs and sweetest smile.  It was an honor to have met you and a privilege to have known you. Thank you for making the world a brighter place with your heart.  I know your family is going to miss you and proud of you as a person.  Until I see you again.... hugs.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your son, brother, and friend Kurt. His time with us was short, but I'll always remember the fun we all had at SWBYPS. May your hearts be comforted by your good memories.   

Kurt, you are very special person, I am glad I got to know you over the years, and we got to be neighbors for a short time. 
May you rest now, and let all your worries be gone.

Tammy and family.  I’m so sorry for your loss and  my prayers are with you and the DuFour family.  

Kurt had one of the biggest smiles in the world! I always loved when I’d run into him because he just gave off an incredible vibe and energy! The world will be a little dinner without his light.  

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this extremely difficult time. May your faith in God and all your wonderful memories of Kurt give you strength through it all.

So sorry to hear that such a young man has been taken from us. May he rest in peace.

My favorite memories will always be the times Kurt had with Kamryn.  He adored and loved her so much and she was over the moon about Uncle Kurt. Even when he was hurting or in pain he still made time for trips to the children’s museum or trips to the zoo. I will forever be grateful for the time they shared. We are heartbroken and a piece of us is gone, but we are happy for him. We know he is up there celebrating his reunion with our grandma and both grandpas in total peace and happiness. 

When I would go tour our grandparents house for a week or so every summer, I would always look forward to going on that mile or so walk through the woods to his house. I remember riding three wheelers, jumping on their trampoline, fishing, having a sleepover, and got to play a video game for the 1st time ever!  We played knight rider on Atari, as well as frogger, and pog.  I was so jealous he had an Atari and I didn’t..lol.  And that 4bit system is what started the video game world we live in now, but over 30yrs GAO now.  He was also very interested in his rock collection, and we’d go hunting for rocks. Always had a good time.  Then at one of our family reunions, he was riding a three wheeler, flipped it, flew off and landed into a power pole, breaking his arm!  I will never forget what his arm looked like!  I won’t describe here, but it was the  Gnarliest thing I had ever seen!  And last but not least, at one of the reunions, me and Kurt snuck into the garage, and snuck my 1st ever drink of beer that we got out of my grandpas kegerator refrigerator in the garage!  Those are some of my favorite childhood memories, and times I’ll never forget!  

Kurt and I had some really good times together and memories that I will cherish forever!! He is loved and will be missed greatly!! Fly high sweet cousin 

I haven't seen Kurt since high school but all I can say he was a good friend from kindergarten to Senior year!  Love ya buddy RIP!
