

Leah Ann Keppler, 88, of Texas City, Texas passed away Sunday July 8, 2012. Leah Ann was born September 8,1923 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She grew up in Houston Texas where she met her future husband Sterling Sidney Keppler, who predeceased her. They were married for fifty-four years. While in Houston she worked as an executive secretary at W. H. Curtin and Company. She was a resident of Texas City for 58 years. Mrs. Keppler was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in La Marque.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail Elaine and Charles Allen Bowen of Missouri City, Texas; her son Michael Sterling Keppler and his fiancee Teresa Hendricks Chambers of Houston, Texas, and her son and daughter-in-law Christopher Mark and Patricia Ann Keppler of Jersey Village, Texas; five grandchildren, Melinda Diane Simmons and husband Christopher R. Simmons, Kelsey Michelle Bowen, Lauren Ann Bowen, Sarah Patricia Keppler, and Jennifer Ann Keppler; and two great-grandchildren Sydnee Breann Simmons and Cameron Lee Simmons.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Funeral Services to follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel at the Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society, or the American Stroke Association.
