Lupe Puente, daughter of Margarito and Dolores Nino was born on December 12, 1925, in Wharton, Texas. She was married to Manuel Puente, Sr., for 46 years. They were blessed with three children. She had a passion for crocheting, gardening, and cooking for family, especially Sunday lunches. Lupe went home to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Puente, Sr., parents and numerous brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles.
Lupe’s life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: daughter Dalia Hernandez and son-in-law Jesse Hernandez; daughter Maricela Rocha and son-in-law Manuel Rocha; son Manuel Puente, Jr. and daughter-in-law Velma Puente; 6 grandchildren; Liz Arellano and husband Albert Arellano III, Jeremy Rocha and wife Lisa Rocha; Jesse Hernandez, Jr.; Nancy Rivera and husband Elias Rivera; Gino Puente; and Isaac Puente and wife Erica Puente; 6 great grandchildren: Jackie Arellano, Jesse Hernandez III, Connor Rocha, Alivia Rivera, AJ Rivera and Hazel Puente.
