WOOD, Martha Maria Stecher, age 87, of Pearland Texas, passed away March 28, 2012. Born in Trostberg, Germany on October 13, 1924, Martha is survived by her husband of 58 years Kenny, sons Volker and wife Agnes, Kenny, Danny and wife Melinda, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha followed the love of her life to the United States in 1952 when his Army tour of duty ended. Now a U.S. citizen, she has always been extremely proud of her German heritage. She worked as a nutritionist and food service supervisor for Windsong Village Retirement Home in Pearland, Texas for 23 years.
