

Mary Foster Green, a devoted mother and grandmother, died Monday, March 2, 2015 in the Clear Lake area where she lived for the past 50 years. She was 90 years old. Mary’s parents were from San Antonio, Texas. Mary was born December 23, 1924 in Tucson, Arizona. Her family move to Oklahoma City when she was 8 and later to San Antonio, Texas where she graduated from High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas. After graduating from the university she moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked as a hostess, flying for Continental Airlines. While in Denver, she met her husband, Howard D. Green while singing in the church choir. They were married for 52 years.
Mary had a long life filled with fun and activities. She loved to travel and instigated many trips throughout her long life. She spent summers in the mountains in Colorado where she loved to go jeep riding, hiking, and fly fishing. She was an avid gardener and could be found most days in her backyard planting and growing many flowers and vegetables. Mary was a volunteer in many organizations in her community for many years. Her particular favorites were Interfaith Caring Ministries and the after school art program at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church. Mary is survived by her son David Green of Clear Lake and his wife Alison; her daughter and son in law, Lorie and Doug Bobilia of Johnstown, Colorado and her daughter and son in law Leslie and Mike Seavey of Dallas, Texas. Mary had six granddaughters, Sarah, Charlie, Taylor, Natalie, Sydney and Erin. She also had two great granddaughters named Mariah and Chiara.
