Michael Dale Valt, was born on August 8, 1953 to parents Charles and Nancy Valt in Middletown, Ohio. Mike was the oldest, with two younger brothers, Dennis and Pat. He immediately went to work as a young man, started out as a butcher and then worked for Coca Cola as a distributor/truck driver. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at local cook-offs.
Mike married the love of his life, Kathy Lee Valt, and was a compassionate and devoted husband for over 30 years. He was a loving and supportive father to his children, Mindy, Tonya and WR. Mike was one of the kindest souls on this planet, he was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He loved being a Papaw to his grandchildren, always extremely proud of all their accomplishments. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Early in life, he learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic into his children. He was a man of strong beliefs, and he taught the importance of not only family, but hard work and doing what is right. Mike was a true role model whom we will always admire.
Mike has battled serious medical issues in recent years and showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite all he has been through, he came out our hero and stayed strong until the end. Mike passed away September 17, 2022 at the age of 69, at his residence in Pearland, Texas surrounded by those who loved and cherished him.
