Neria Del Bosque Gutierrez

Neria Gutierrez, 99 years young of Houston went to be with the Lord on her birthday, May 12, 2023. Neria was born in Riviera, Texas to Benito and Guillerma Del Bosque. She would meet and marry Thomas Gutierrez. They moved to Houston and had 4 sons Victor, Thomas Jr., Edward, and Estevan. Neria was an excellent seamstress, tailor, and floral designer for D & D Draperies. She made the most beautiful quilts, wedding dresses and bouquets. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her kind words and soft smile will greatly be missed and remembered.

Neria was predeceased by her father Benito, mother Guillerma, husband of 47 years, Thomas Gutierrez, sons Thomas Jr. and Edward Gutierrez, grandson Richard Gutierrez. Brothers Santos, Domingo, Adam, Mardonio, Jose and sister Mary.

She is survived by her sons Victor Gutierrez and Estevan Gutierrez along with her sister Emillia. Also surviving to cherish her memory are Neria’s grandchildren Victor Gutierrez Jr., Virginia Gutierrez, Melissa Marquis, Solidad Gutierrez, Christopher Marquis, Jennifer Garza, and Thomas Andrew Gutierrez. And her great-grandchildren Briyana Griffeth, Rian Griffeth, Solara Gutierrez, and Mia Gutierrez. And newest addition great-great grandson Asher Esteban Griffeth.

A visitation for Neria will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm. A funeral service will be on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 am with a committal service to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
