Norma Jean Chapman, 81, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was born in Ingleside, Texas on Tuesday, February 27, 1934. The family was later relocated to Baytown, Texas.
She was married to Charles R. Chapman for 39 years. Norma retired from Baytown Independent School District and was a member of Church of Christ.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Henry W. and Edna McGee; brother, Bud McGee; and sister, Marie Fly.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Richard Chapman; son, Thomas J. Hawkins; daughter, Teresa M. Langford; step-sons, Michael Chapman and C. R. Chapman, Jr.; sister, Betty Hopper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home. The Celebration of Norma’s Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. with interment to immediately follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
