Pedro Medina

Pedro Medina, 91, of Alvin, Texas, passed away December 22, 2016. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 5, 1925 to Manuel and Maria Medina. He was married to Carlota V. Medina for 68 years. Pedro had a career in construction for Parker Bros. for 38 years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially watching his great-grandkids activities. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his accordion. Pedro loved to keep busy by creating things with his hands and spending time caring for his animals and livestock. He had a fondness for Mexican Sweetbread and Coffee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlota V. Medina; daughter Marizella M. Mercado; great- grandson Andres Aranda; sisters, Sara Gracia, Manuela Sandoval, Florencia Moreno; brother, Manuel Medina Jr.

He is survived by his children, Gilbert Medina, Dora Vega and husband Rafael, Alfred Medina and wife Dolores, Roy Medina and wife Delia, Pedro V. Medina and wife Stephanie; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. With a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 110 E. South Street, Alvin, Texas 77511. Rite of Committal to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
