

He was born on September, 30, 1936, to the late Julia Arredondo and Jose Ibarra, in Don Martin, Coahuila, Mexico.
During his youth, Raul worked as a tractor trailer driver and later went on to become an accomplished welder and sheet metal worker for Brazoria Fabrication, Contamination Control and Unisorb. He was well known as a person who could rebuild or repair just about anything around the house, from automobiles, to plumbing and carpentry.
Raul is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lidia Castillo Ibarra, who provided loving care and continuous support doing his final days.
He is also survived by his daughter Veronica and her husband Adrian; daughter Julie Araujo; his son Raul Ibarra, Jr. and his wife, Laura; daughter, Norma Fulton; daughter, Narda Maza; daughter Nora Reyes and her husband Raul, all of Houston; and daughter Sonia Gleeson and her husband Chris of Newnan, Georgia; 12 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Raul is also survived by his sister Enedina Ibarra Juarez of San Antonio, Texas; his brother Alejandro Ibarra and his wife Lucy, of Beaumont, Texas; numerous in-laws; nephews and nieces who all miss him dearly. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eva Ibarra.
The family will greet visitors from 3 to 6 PM, on Sunday, June 21st, with Burial Services on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 12:30 PM, at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas, 77598, Phone 281-332-3111.
