I'm just finding this information June 15, 2013 and my heart is broken. Rhoy was my dad (step-dad) but one of the best I could have asked for. I was young when he and my mom were divorced therefore we didn't keep in touch but in light of Fathers Day I wanted to find him and tell him Thank You and how much he ment to me all those years. Rest in peace dad! I loved you more than you could have known. I wish you were still here so I could have said it to your face. I'm sorry...

I have good memories chatting and playing trivia with "Gramps" on 41plus trivia. He was always pleasant, calm and easy going. Most assuredly, one of the nicest people around. Rest in Peace "Gramps"

I first met Gramps on 41plustrivia where he soon stood out for his wonderful humour. I especially remember my first peep at his photo ... I am sure many remember that gorilla.
Gramps made a wonderful effort to meet everyone and we met a couple of times in person while I lived in NYC, the most memorable when he had to drive his huge truck into Manhattan and I went along for the thrills. The man could drive!
Rhoy was a wonderful gentle giant, a caring friend and at all times a perfect gentleman. I will miss him and treasure the wonderful memories.

I always found "Gramps" to be jovial and supportive. Got to know him as a friend in 41plustrivia channel chat.  Met him in person just the once when he drove truck for work when I lived in Albany, NY. My sympathy and prayers go out to his family. The world is a little better place because he was in it. Rhoy, may you R.I.P.

Chatted with "Gramps" a few times on irc, we shared an interest in motorcycles, always a pleasure.
Another Rider in the Sky

I met Rhoy a few times when I was passing through Texas on business trips or on vacation.  He was a swell guy with a great sense of humor. I'm going to miss him on the Internet channel where we chatted and played trivia.

He was a wonderful friend.  I called upon him many times and he always came through for me.  He was a great asset to the #41plustrivia channel.  He added joy to my life, just by being himself.  We will miss you greatly Rhoy, thank you for being a friend.

Rhoy was "Gramps" to me, as well. He came to my home and visited several times and my husband and I kept in touch via internet for some years. He was a good friend and a very down to earth, just plain nice man. He will be missed.

"Gramps", Rhoy, had quite a sense of humor.  When asked for a picture of himself, he would first send a picture of an albino gorilla.  It was kind of a test to see if the recipient had a sense of humor also.  He has been a dear friend, someone I could always talk to, someone who would always listen.  When he was on the road, he would stop at the truck stop at Pauls Valley and I'd go and meet him for lunch.  We went to a few channel get-togethers in the D/FW area.  Not a Dodge man, he even test drove a Dodge pickup for me in the Houston area.  He sent a full report and my son-in-law bought it and drove it back to Oklahoma.  We will miss him.

My heartfelt sorrows and prayers to the family.  I knew Rhoy from an online game we played and thought he was always a sweet gentleman.  Prayers for your loss.

I always knew Rhoy as "Gramps" in the 41plus channel. Had the opportunity to meet him in PA during one of his truck runs north.  He was a good guy.  We'll miss him in our online group.
