Richard Cicero Thomas, Sr., (R.C.), 88, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas passed away on December 21, 2016. He was born in Pittsburg, Texas on July 17, 1928 to Norman and Lottie Thomas. He was married to Gwen Jenkins Thomas for 45 years. R.C. worked as an operations engineer for Shell Chemical, Process Operators, Stone and Webster, Cain Chemical and Oxychem. He joined the Army in 1945 where he served 15 months. R.C. enjoyed telling jokes and A&M football. He also had a passion for golf and fishing. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Thomas; sister Lottie Mackey; wife Gwen Jenkins Thomas; and daughter Janet Gay Johnson. He is survived by sister Barbara Davis; son Richard C. Thomas, Jr. “Rick”; daughter Sharon Wilson; grandchildren Jerry, Tracey, Staci, Trey, Justin, Jennifer and Joshua; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and girlfriend Patricia Arnold. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598. The Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. and interment to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
