Ricky Lee Swanson III (Little Ricky) was born January 9, 2004 and passed away peacefully with his parents by his side on January 7, 2015, just two days shy of his 11th birthday. He is survived by his father, Ricky Lee Swanson, mother Isabel Galano Swanson, sisters Bianca and Isabella Swanson, grandparents Adriano and Blanca Galano and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Little Ricky was born with a severe and profound (undiagnosed) genetic disorder and never really matured past the age of three months. He was a beautiful child and for years gave the appearance of a normal baby/toddler when in fact, he was anything but. He was often described by his mother as a beautiful doll that breathed. His world was different from all of those around him and while he never spoke a word, he taught many of us countless lessons. He made a lasting impact on many people’s lives. He was endearing, cute and cuddly and a trooper and fighter through the many medical procedures he endured. He defied medical odds and outlived the life expectations that many doctors gave him. It was a blessing to have him as long as he was here but the time came for him to depart this world. His job was done. His parents take solace and comfort in the fact that Little Ricky was a true angel on this earth who never committed a sin. They are at peace knowing they were loving and committed parents who did everything they could to give this angel the quality of life he so deserved and forever grateful to the wonderful care he received from the two nannies he had during his life. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the beautiful short life of Ricky Lee Swanson on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Clare of Assisi, 3131 El Dorado, Houston, Texas 77059. In lieu of customary remembrances and for those desiring, contributions in memory of Ricky Lee Swanson, III may be directed to Texas Children’s Hospital, P.O.
