

In loving memory of Robert Rogers Bock. On March 26, 2024, Robert passed peacefully from this world with his wife of 52 years by his side. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a beloved member of our community.
Robert was born on December 12, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia to Edward Sidney Bock, Jr. and Mary Hale Stalnaker Bock. He dedicated over 25 years of his life to working as a machinist for Exxon. Known for his exceptional skills in diagnosing and repairing complex industrial machinery in the oil and gas industry, he was able to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
Robert volunteered in the community with the USO for many years and was a member of University Baptist Church. During his leisure time, Robert found joy in photography, train chasing, and H.O. scale train modeling. He will be fondly remembered for his willingness to share stories about his life and experiences with anyone at any time. Robert leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
On November 6, 1971, Robert Rogers Bock married Scherry Ann Springer Bock. Together, they raised three children: Phillip Bock, Katy Gatlin, and Vicky van der Geer-Bock. They had seven grandchildren: Deven Stephens, Johnathan Crenshaw, Branden Gatlin, Ashleigh Bock, Jesse Bock, Daniel van der Geer, and Thomas van der Geer. He had 2 great grandchildren: Aliza Stephens and Aurora Crenshaw. He was a devoted and loving father who always prioritized his family.
He loved the Lord and was active in church in Bible studies and volunteering. He is survived by his wife, all of their loving family, and many friends. He will forever remain in our hearts as a source of inspiration and love.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
A graveside service will occur Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
