Rorie Simmons Joslin, passed away on August 3, 2014. She was a strong and determined fighter that overcame all odds, handed to her, over her 2 ½ year fight with “ALL”; (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, with hypodiploidy). Rorie was born on July 29, 2009 to Brandon and Savannah Joslin in Houston, Texas. Rorie is survived by her parents Brandon and Savannah; her best friend and sister, Mackenzie Joslin; grandparents Raymond Joslin; Susan Joslin and David Waggett; Sheri Meekins and Brian Huffman; Garth Jacob and wife Stephanie; uncles Justin Jacob, Logan Jacob and wife Alesha, Carson Jacob, Chase Joslin and wife Melaine; cousins Calie Jacob and Tatum Jacob; great grandparents Alton and Janice Meekins, Hugh and Phyllis Joslin, Jake Jacob. Rorie is preceded in death by her great grandmother’s Judy LaMotte and Rusty Jacob; and great grandpa Ron LaMotte. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Rorie will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, Thursday August 7, 2014 at 10:00AM. The family will receive visitors from 9:00AM until service time at 10:00AM.
