

Ruben A Ochoa, Sr, 75 of Kemah, TX, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Ruben was born in Chapman Ranch, TX on February 15, 1949, to his late parents, Heriberto and Leonor Arriago Ochoa.
Ruben was a lifelong resident of Kemah, TX where he and his wife raised their family. Ruben was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1969 until 1971 upon returning he was a mechanic but had retired over 12 years ago. Ruben enjoyed watching sports, listening to old school tejano and country music while drinking a cold beer.
Ruben is survived by his wife, MaryLou Lopez Ochoa, his children Ruben (Monica) Ochoa, Jr, Rudy (Melissa) Ochoa, and Vickie (Joel) Gonzalez as well as 3 grandchildren, Allysa (D’Marion) Ochoa, Marcus Ochoa, Xavier Ochoa and 1 great grandchild, Isaiah Thomas; his brothers, Samuel (Vicky) Ochoa, Leonardo Ochoa, Reynaldo Ochoa; his sisters, Beatrice Gonzales, San Juanita (David) Delgado, and Sarita Ochoa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Alizia (Ochoa) Bonds, his brother, Miguel Ochoa; his grandson, Anthony J. Ochoa and granddaughter, Andrea J. Ochoa.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster.
The interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
