

Sarah Beth Bone Pearson went to be with her Lord on November 6, 2011. She was the longest living resident in Kemah, Texas coming to live there January of 1938. She was born December 29, 1917 to Myrtie and David Oliver Bone of Murval, Texas. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harry L. Pearson, her parents and sisters, Cozette Larsen and Louise Foreman, her brothers, Brown Bone and David Bone.
She is survived by her only daughter, Sally Montague and husband Bruce of Pointblank, Texas. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Brian Robinson & wife Cecilia, Lori Ford, and four great-grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Elizabeth Robinson, Sarah Ford, and Noah Ford along with step-grandchildren, Scott Montague & Sissy Maner, step-great grandchildren, Stephen and Matt Maner, and one step-great great-grandson, Austin Maner. Sarah was a wonderful Christian mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved all of her family and enjoyed having them all at her Kemah house every Thanksgiving.
Sarah (Sammy) graduated form Carthage High School in 1937 and in 1938 moved to Kemah where she met and married her husband, Harry Pearson. In the forties they owned and operated a seafood bait camp (Harry's Place) and a restaurant called "The Cozy Corner" located on the waterfront at the end of Second Street & Kipp which is now the "Boardwalk". In the fifties, Sarah worked as the secretary for the Kemah Water District Office and retired in 1995 at the age of 78 after 38 years of service. During this time she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kemah where she held the position of secretary/treasurer for many years. In her latter years, she was a member of the Bacliff's First baptist Church.
