Sylvia Cantu passed away at the age of 61 on August 27, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Cantu; her daughters and son-in-law, Sonya and General Morelock, Patricia Cantu, and Veronica Cantu; her grandchildren, Alyssa Cantu-Noble, Alexis Young, Devin, Donavin, Damon, Domonick, and Izzabella Morelock and her siblings Jesucita Garcia, Elvira Garcia, Fedirico Cruz, and Richard Cruz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Pablo Cruz, and her brothers Paul and Alfredo Cruz.
Sylvia was born in Gregory, Texas but eventually relocated to Pasadena, Texas where she met her devoted husband and raised her daughters. She spent a majority of her time dedicated to the care of her family and spending time with loved ones. She enjoyed any form of baking, cooking, and especially shopping with her girls plus dancing with her husband. But, most of all what she really enjoyed were the family vacations. Sylvia was a devoted Catholic and her family is provided comfort with her now resting peacefully with the Lord.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. A celebration of Sylvia's life will occur Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery
