Uta B. Maynard

Uta Breaux Maynard was born May 27, 1921 to Celize Vincent and Theophile Breaux in Maurice, Louisiana, passed away May 2, 2012 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born the 8th child of 9. Uta was raised in Maurice, Louisiana., graduated from high school in 1939. When she was 16, she met George Maynard, who left to serve in the army until 1945. When he returned, they married on October 11, 1945. On July 8, 1946 Farrel Louise was born, her brother Gordon Joseph was born April 5, 1950, making their family complete. George and Uta managed a local moving company for many years.

Maw maw is preceded in death by her husband George and son Gordon, her siblings; Odan Breaux, Anna Duhon, Ethel Landry, Osta Breaux, Theola Breaux, and Stallace Bresux.

Uta (maw maw), is survived by her daughter Farrel, sisters; Nella Duhon and Duiby Martin, grandchildren; Michelle Partin (husband Cary), Michael Locklin (wife Tara), Nikki Seymour (husband Gawain), Kayman Maynard Rees (husband Ian), great grandchildren; Micah and Shay Boynton, Ryan and Cole Pierson, Christian, Nicholas, and Taylor Seymour, Chris Mitchell, Ryan and Jordan Gemmill, and Shelby Morris. There are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as close friends and neighbors, who survive her also. Maw maw made a huge impact on all of our lives.

Her strong personality and unconditional love made those around her stronger. Her unrelenting religious beliefs and way of life taught and showed us the importance of god, and was evident in all her words and actions up until she went to join her maker. There are no words to express how very much she will be missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral service is Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 3pm with interment to follow.
