

Wayne was born November 7, 1941 in Beeville, Texas to Wallace Wayne and V. Jewel (Baggett) Wilson. Raised in El Campo, Texas. He his preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws and great grandson Conar.
Surviving is his wife Cynthia L. (Gunn) Wilson of 24 years, daughter Keri (Chad) Keller, son Weston (Lauren) Wilson, stepdaughter Misty (J.R.) Campos, grandchildren Wyatt, Harrison, Farrah, step grandchildren Tristan, Draven, Aurora, Madison, Bailey and Chad.
Shortly after graduating college, he was drafted in the US Army and served for four years in Korea where he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant who worked in intelligence. Wayne also had a career in Gas and Pipe Inspection for over 30 years.
Living in Colorado, he was active in the Jaycees where he was V.P. of Greenhorn Mountain, Colorado Chapter.
Wayne was an outdoorsman for over 20 years on a deer lease he enjoyed with great friends. He loved his family dearly, enjoyed woodworking and working with his grandsons in the shop building projects they wanted to build. They were always so thrilled to be with their PawPaw.
In his younger years he loved working on cars and racing them. Wayne was also a guitarist and liked to sing in his band “The Jokers”.
He was a great man and a good provider to his family. He always made sure his family came first and were taken care of. He instilled a great work ethic within his children, taught them well.
He was dearly loved by his family and friends. We will miss you; you will always be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Forest PArk East Funeral Home starting at 2:00 PM.
