Elaine S. White

White, Elaine S., Passed away at home surrounded by family, at the age of 72 years, Dec. 11th, 2010, of Concord, NH, formerly of Wellfleet, where she called home, following a battle with CHF.

She was the devoted wife of the late James F. White, Daughter of the late Charles R and Mary J Schuster, and Sister of the late Charles R. Schuster Jr. She is survived by her faithful companion Toby Keith (dog), her children, Kim M. White of Concord, NH, Charles R White of Dennis, MA and Jeffrey W. White of Boston, MA. She is also survived by her “cunning” grandchildren, Zachary, Cody, Jason, Angelina, Arriane, Rhiannon, and Shawn. She also leaves behind many more that called her Mom, Ma White, Grammy, “girlfriend” and friend.

On March 31st, 1938 she was born at home in Eastham, MA and then lived most of her life in Wellfleet, Ma. There, in her younger years, on top of putting most to shame at opening scallops and cleaning houses, she worked at First National, The News Dealer, and Lema’s Market. She enjoyed country music, holidays, gardening, oysters, dancing, karaoke, camping, baking in the sun, the Wellfleet parade, playing cribbage and bingo, talking on the CB radio, and going to the Gathering Place and Beacon Landing. Elaine loved most of all her pets, and socializing with people from all walks of life.

Visiting hours will be held from 6pm-8pm on Friday Dec. 17th at Nickerson Funeral Home, 340 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA. A graveside service will be held at 10am Sat. Dec. 18th in Evergreen Cemetery, Eastham, MA.
