Miles Augustus Tibbetts

Miles was the son of Joyce Patricia Tibbetts, of Wellfleet, and was born on October 28, 1996. This September Miles would have started his junior year at Nauset Regional High School in Eastham. He was active in the wrestling club and many other activities in the school and community. He was a tournament winning chess player and volunteered at the Wellfleet Public Library teaching chess to children. Miles worked at Hatch’s Fish Market in Wellfleet, where he always greeted co-workers and customers with his big, warm smile.

Miles was always concerned about helping others and after giving blood at his school recently he decided that he wanted his organs donated. His request was honored.

In addition to his mother, Miles is survived by his grandparents, George and Cyndi Moe of Wellfleet, his great-grandmother Glenore Moe of Wellfleet, three aunts and four cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Miles Tibbetts Scholarship Fund at Nauset Regional High School, Cable Road, North Eastham, MA 02651.

Friends are asked to gather for a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the First Congregational Church at 200 Main Street, Wellfleet. A reception will follow at the church hall. Online condolences may be made at http://www.nickersonfunerals.com/.
