Warren Alexander, a true Provincetown institution and beloved member of the community, passed away on February 15, surrounded by love. For more than a decade, he was not only a neighbor but a dear friend whose presence brought laughter, wisdom, and heart to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Warren devoted much of his life to serving the town he loved. Over the years, he held many roles in Provincetown, including Selectman, Building Inspector, and Deputy Fire Chief. Of all his titles, however, he was most proud of his volunteer work with the Fire Department. He carried vivid memories of the many fires he responded to and could recount each one in remarkable detail, sharing stories that reflected both his courage and his deep commitment to public service.
Proud of his Portuguese heritage, Warren carried his roots with honor throughout his life. He was sharp-witted, delightfully irreverent, and possessed comedic timing that simply could not be taught. In recent years — especially during the last twenty — he and his longtime love and fiancée, Amy Jackett, shared a passionate and joyful relationship that was a gift to witness. Warren had planned to marry Amy, but sadly passed before they had the chance. Spending time with them felt like attending a private performance of “The Ptown Players,” as every visit turned into an unmatched comedy show. Together, they were two of Provincetown’s most unforgettable characters. Warren’s other great love was Onyx who sadly passed just months before. Warren was extremely grateful to Amy’s daughter Phoebe, her husband Andrew; sons Cameron, Christian and Mathew who helped with so many things over the years.
Warren was also a staunch Democrat and took great pride in supporting the Democratic Party and its candidates. He followed politics closely and never hesitated to share his views — always with humor and conviction.
He is survived by his sons, Keith and Glenn; his seven grandchildren; Bryson, Hunter, Savanah, William, Emily, Ethan, Evan, his sister Jane and his nephews, Dan, Jeff, and Greg. He was predeceased by his son, Brian.
His funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10am at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince Street, Provincetown, MA. Godspeed Warren
