Andrew Keith Jones

​Andrew is reunited with his beloved wife of 30 years, Sheila, his mother, Elsie, and his brother, Phil Jones. He will be deeply missed by his beloved daughters, Tara (Brooke), Lisa Blackwood-McInnis (Lynford), and Natalie Grant, and his sons, Ricardo Blackwood (Courtney), Michael Davis, Orville Simms (Sandra), and Steve Williams (Reena), as well as his siblings Jamie Jones (Cathy), Janice Jones-Fairweather, George Jones, Tammy Jones, and Charlie Jones (Margot). Andrew will also be lovingly remembered by his cousins Wraylene Downes and Shianna Whyte, as well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

​Andrew dedicated much of his life to supporting and giving back to his community. Through counselling, coaching with the East York Steelers, and Big Brother programs, he made a lasting difference in the lives of those around him. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, valued, and supported. Whether helping a new friend, a family member, or a stranger on the street, Andrew believed in putting others before himself.

​He loved exploring the city and experiencing everything it had to offer, especially trying foods from different cultures. Music, the CNE, Taste of the Danforth, and other local festivals were among his favourite ways to spend time enjoying life and connecting with others.

​Andrew was a very proud father. He taught his children to be fearless, to believe that anything was possible, and to understand the importance of being involved in and giving back to their community. His door was always open, and his home was a place where people could feel safe, loved, and fed. Andrew advocated for others throughout his life and encouraged those around him to do the same.

​Even while facing challenges of his own, Andrew always made sure his family was cared for. He was incredibly proud of his children, especially Tara, and was one of her biggest supporters, cheering her on through all of her adventures and successes.

​Andrew was also well known for his love of cooking, with his famous lemon meringue pies being a cherished tradition at family holidays. Andrew and his wife, Sheila, were soulmates in the kitchen cooking up a storm. His food, his laughter, his generosity, and his open-door spirit brought people together and created memories that will be treasured for years to come.

​Andrew leaves behind a legacy of compassion, community, generosity, and love. He taught those around him that no matter who someone was or what they were going through, they deserved to feel safe, supported, and cared for.

​His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will continue through the many lives he touched.
