Cajetan Augustin Gonsalves, age 84 of Scarborough, Ontario passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 1, 2022. Born on August 2, 1937 in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Beloved husband of Cecilia (nee Dias) and loving father of Carlton (Sharon), Candice and Cameron (Alison). He was a proud and doting grandfather of Jordan & Logan, John & Nicolas and Meaghan & Melissa. He is predeceased by his parents Pascoal & Lourdes (nee Rodrigues). Loving brother of Philomena (Cruz Dias-Juliao), both deceased, Lucy (Anthony Goveas, deceased) and Loretta (Annesley D’Silva). He will also be remembered by his many cousins and loving nieces & nephews all over the world.
Following the Funeral Mass at St Thomas More Catholic Church June 13 at 10 am, burial will take place at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto. After the burial, a reception will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society in Cajetan's honour.
