Casta Marie Ramirez De Salmeron

Casta was born in Managua, Nicaragua on September 9, 1937 to Francisco Ramirez Barahona and Margarita Miranda Lopez. She was married to Octavio Ater Salmeron (predeceased, R.I.P.) She is survived by daughters Mayra Urcuyo (husband Mario) and their children Mayra Jr. and Randall; Margarita Solórzano (husband Oscar) and their children Osmar, Leslie (wife Kara); also sons Octavio Ater Jr. (wife Magaly) and their children Gabriela and Octavio Jr (Florida, USA), and Leslie Alfredo Salmeron and his daughters Shayna and Isabele whom reside in Managua, Nicaragua. Casta was a sister to Sofia, Maria, Rafael, Bayardo and Jose Dolores.

While a housewife her entire life, Casta was a very good seamstress, making clothing for her family. She was a devout Catholic and very active in the Spanish community of her parish, St. Thomas More Church. She was in the Legion of Mary, Ministry of Eucharist, in the choir and a Purisima committee member.

Visitation for Casta will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill. Do to covid-19 numbers will be limited. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St Thomas More Church, 2234 Ellesmere Rd, Scarborough. Interment will follow the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Rd, Scarborough.
