Elizabeth Mary Hynes

Elizabeth Mary Hynes (nee Pennell) born on Woods Island, Bay of Islands Newfoundland on November 17, 1929, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her parents Azariah and Alice, siblings Bern, Catherine, Leo and Edna, her husband Thomas and son Cyril. She is survived by her brother Joe (Margie) and her children James (Tanya), Leo, Gloria (Roy) and Deborah (John). Loving Nana to her Grandchildren Shelley, Aimee, Eric, Aaron, Ashley, Melissa, Michael, Anthony and Kyle. Great-Nana to Abigail, Isabella, Simon, Gabe, Mackenzie and Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Glen Rouge Community staff for their care in her final years.

Family and friends will be received at Giffen Mack funeral home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue, East (near Kingston Road), West Hill, Ontario. Visitation is Thursday, February 22, 2024 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or charity of your choice.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON. The service will be held on Friday, February 23 in the Giffen-Mack Chapel.
