Helen Whiteford Ferguson (nee Sinton) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 12, 2026, in Scarborough, Ontario. She is reunited with her beloved husband, William Ferguson, and her children Stephen, Kimberley and Tracy.
Helen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son, John (Elaine), her grandchildren, Shawn (Ashley), Corey, Jeffrey, Ian, Tamara and Evan, her son-in-law, Paul MacDonald, and her great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Emma, and Adelaide.
Throughout her life, Helen was a caregiver to many. From childhood, to motherhood, grandmotherhood and great-grandmotherhood, and throughout her career, she devoted herself to caring for others.
Her kindness, compassion and nurturing spirit touched countless lives, and she will be fondly missed by her extended family and many friends.
A service to honour Helen’s life will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario, M1E 2S2, on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow this service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
