June will be dearly missed by Bill, her beloved husband of 58 years, and by her sons Doug and Gord (Kelly), and Danny. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her life-long friend Joan Morris (Butch). June is predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Cruickshank, Uncle Mac, brothers Ian and Denis, and her eldest son Jim.
She cherished her family dearly, and always took great joy in looking after her “boys”. She opened her heart to Sheba and Danny, and in turn they brought smiles to her face and joy to her heart. She showed us the wonder in watching a storm roll in across the bay, the pleasure of indulging in a good belly laugh, and the enjoyment in the discovery of a world beyond our front door. Mum will always be at the stern of our canoe.
“And the time we were given will be left for the world.”
The family would ask that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Society.
