I lived next door to Kris and his family for many years before my parents moved.  Looking back on my childhood, I have many fond memories of playing with Kris and his brothers: water gun fights, tag, knicky-knicky nine doors, basketball, pool days, etc! And although we didn’t always get along, what I will remember most about Kris was his love for animals and music! We often left our animals including Pearl the cockatiel and Spice the Guinea pig at his home when we went away on vacation, because we knew they would be in good hands.  My father was deathly allergic to Guinea pigs so we decided to gift Spice to Kris and their family. We knew it was the right thing to do because Kris loved animals so much! I will miss Kris and his calm demeanour. My condolences are to his family - Anne Marie, Nenad, Nikola and Stefan. I’m sorry for your loss 😢.

I’m absolutely heartbroken at the pain you must be feeling with the loss of you son Kris!  I wish our lives had been shared a lot more over the decades and I had the opportunity to know your family! I remember first meeting Kris in high school band. I would be setting up for band practice and I heard this booming voice call out "HEY!" with a tone that made you look over your shoulder and feel like you were in trouble.  Kris was notorious for doing this call and when I finally caught him doing it, I saw him crack a huge smile on his face. Kris loved to joke around, he would say something so absurd  with the most serious face and then just burst out laughing with that vibrant smile I will always remember.  

Kris and I joked around and shared a lot of laughs, but he also had a very empathetic heart. You could count on him to listen without judgement and he could be very understanding.  Even as our lives started to take different paths, we would still reach out every once in a while to check on one another. I hope he appreciated those chats as much as I did. I was lucky to have Kris in my life, he was a great friend and a genuine person. 

I miss you Kris, thank you for being my friend.

There are no words that we can say that could possibly come close to taking some of the, what must be enormous, pain you must be feeling.  We were so saddened and shocked to hear of this terrible news. While I didn't know Kris very well, I know you, his Dad, and his brother, Stefan, and I did meet him briefly when he was here helping Stef with a job. But based on that, and all the lovely comments we've read about him here, it's clear, like his Dad, and brothers, he was a wonderful young man and very much loved by his family and large circle of friends. May you rest in peace dear Kris, and may the pain of your loss not linger, but create an everlasting memory of a great young man that loved, and was truly loved.

Christopher was a beautiful soul who touched so many lives. He will be deeply missed.

It's been hard to come to terms with this tragic reality. Kristopher has always been the friend for me who would find the same humour in things that others would not. He would be there for countless intense game nights. We would come to each other for advice, and opinions.

He was a person who we could confide stuff to and when we gave each other our word, that was all we needed to know it was information in good hands. What I've learned from Kristopher through this is that he had the purest heart. He had an incredible amount of friends with a ton of friend circles, yet you could always expect a random video sent to you to ask a random question that was on his mind. He would think and care about everyone regardless of how many he knew. He was incredibly proud of the man he was becoming, and was so passionate about his work, and the effort he actively put in to better himself.

Most importantly what I learned from him was that he loved his family and had such great appreciation for the amount of care they provided for him. Even through tribulation, he always looked for solutions to make things better for everyone in the future. He was never the type of person to seek out conflict with others, but instead make things better.

Kristopher was a great person and great friend. My deepest condolences go out to his wonderful family as they grieve his loss and remember the wonderful memories they shared with him.

Even though we live in two different countries, Kris and I spent countless hours together, playing video games online. Kris was always great to be around, cheerful and pretty good at Halo as a bonus. My time with the Budisavljevic family is one of the most memorable experiences of my life, going from meeting as strangers in a video game to one day staying in their home, and Kris was a big part of that. Kris you will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

From time to time, I would spot Kris walking by, what struck me is his stride, it was calm, consistent and gentle.

Kris has been one of my best friends for the last 13 years of my life. We met at the beginning of highschool and became great friends. We had so much in common ranging from music to video games and everything in between. We eventually started a band and actually played a show downtown together! We were always so proud of this moment. After I started working at Lowe's during highschool, Kris would later get a job there too making work too fun for me! I had my best friend at work with me! Those were very great times to look back at during my life and Kris was a main reason for that. 

Our friendship of course would remain as strong as ever even after me leaving Lowe's. Kris was one of the people I would message the most in my life and I can't believe I wont be receiving any more messages from my best friend. We had a certain sense of humor together and could talk about anything to one another. One of my favourite things about Kris was his ability not to judge people's life choices and how receptive he would be to new things I would show him.  

Kris has shared so many thing with me that I will keep with me forever. Love you so much buddy and thank you for being such a great friend to me.

I met Kris about 7 years ago and our relationship started off as coworkers. On my first day at work we instantly bonded and became friends. After 3 years of working together our friendship continued for the years to come. I can write a whole book of all the memories and fun times we shared. Kris was like a big brother to me, he always looked out for me. He was the kindest and best friend anyone could ask for, whenever you needed him he always had your back. I will truly miss you Kris, I pray that you will rest peacefully now.

9th grade French with You and Anthony , Having to come into class with a new story everyday to make you 2 laugh was a treat for me, the kindness you showed me throughout the 20 years of friendship will never be forgotten and always cherished , much love to you and your family , you were truly loved by many and will be missed even more , Love you Brother

Kris you will be missed. I grew up with Kris and spent many days hanging out with him and his brothers Nikola and Stef. Kris always had a way of making me laugh, his humour had a positive impact on my childhood. Always finding a way to make others laugh. Those who knew Kris well know he had a heart of gold. He’s always been a kind individual and was the first person to ensure someone was ok when they were battling something. Kris you’re a good man and you will be missed by many. Thank you for making a positive impact on my life.

I met Kris and when working my first long term job. It was a pleasure getting the chance to work with him as he was one in a million as to the wonderful personality he had. We worked together for 5-6 years and within that time we got the chance to become friends in and outside of work whether it be just having deep conversations about Life or talking about video games he has a wide range of empathy and great listening skills that made you want to be around him and tell him about what was going on as he would reciprocate it with a great sense of humor he never took things too serious and lived his life in the way he wanted to. I'll miss you man, you'll always be my Lowe's family and a fellow loader brother at that. I'll never forget the positive experiences you got me prepared for after the job and I am thankful that we got the opportunity to cross paths in life. Kris was one of the most kind and humorous people I have ever known. He had a talent for making me laugh, even when I was feeling down. Whenever he entered a room, his presence would light it up and going to work was always enjoyable because of him. His unexpected messages never failed to bring a smile to my face. Kris will always be held dear in my heart, and his absence will be felt forever.

I knew him first as a colleague, then a friend, and eventually him and I became more than that. 
Although I have not seen him for some years now, at times like these, I choose to remember only the good times and Kris was good for making those. He was the first person in any group to want to make others laugh, whether it be by telling jokes or just by acting goofy. For this, it was easy for him to cultivate friendships and have people gravitate towards him. He was always the life of the party. 
For us, wether it was swimming in his parents pool, hanging out in the basement on the computer and watching tv, going out with friends, or going for drives, I’ll do my best to remember all the simple moments we had together. 
I will miss him dearly.

I met Kris when I started working at Lowe's. When I 1st met him, I had no idea he would become more than a co-worker, not just to me, but to my family as well. Kris was always willing to help me in any way at work. He was always friendly and out going. We crossed paths on breaks and spent time talking and joking with each other. Eventually Kris became friends with all 3 of my kids. I now not only saw him at work, but he became a regular visitor in our home. He became family. I was always happy to see his smiling face when he came through the door and the hug I always got. He celebrated many milestones with us, from Birthdays to Graduations. The best memories I have of him though, are the days/nights he spent with us, just being. Hanging out in the basement, listening to music, talking and laughing with my kids. Kris had such a big, kind heart. I know he is soaring above the clouds. Our deepest most heartfelt condolences to Kris's family, we are absolutely heartbroken for your loss.

One day outside of the store I will always be grateful for. Back when Kris injured his shoulder skateboarding I think 7ish years ago?
I  got into the bad accident, I was incoherent didn’t know my age name or mom..  Kris just happened to be getting his shoulder checked out when I was in the hall on a stretcher… he walked by and I knew I knew him.. and I like whispered Kris and he turned and was shocked obviously post cart accident no one looks there beat. But he was the one who brought me a little into reality a bit, he saved me a little that day.  I didn’t know anything and I was alone and scared and he stayed with me until they finally moved me, not long but still he didn’t have to do that, it meant everything to me.
I don’t remember anything said but I’ll never forget I stopped being scared because at least I knew someone, I knew him. He brought me back to reality for moment that day
Kris you will always be remembered

I had the pleasure of working with Kris for a few years at Lowes. I always respected his mellow approach to not only work but life. Never got too high or low with everything and kept moving forward. He was unapologetically himself. I wished the couple of chances I had to see Kris after his time working at Lowes I had made it happen to at least have some more great memories of a good hearted individual. My prayers go out to his family.

Kris was such a fun and joy to know. He always made me laugh sending texts and videos back and forth. My condolences to his family. He will be missed so dearly. Rest in Peace Kris. 🙏🏻
