Leatrice Joy Robinson

Today we remember, celebrate, and honor the joyful life of Leatrice Joy Robinson, beloved widow of the late Eric Kirstein. Lovingly known by family, friends, and all whose lives she touched as "Joyus," "Mummy," "Mother Joy," "Granny," "Grandma Joy," "Auntie Joy," "Cous Joy," and "Miss Robinson," Joy was the heart and soul of her family and a source of love, strength, wisdom, unity, and organization for all who knew her. Her warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family touched generations with unmatched kindness.

Joy immigrated to Canada in the early 1980s and began her life working as a nurse. She dedicated herself to caring for others and built her life around her family, always placing her children and loved ones at the center of everything she did.

Joy is survived by her beloved daughter, Jill Robinson, her only surviving child. She was predeceased by her cherished daughter, Kay Robinson. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Tommy Crichlow and Nanette Crichlow; her grandchildren, Makay Davis and Andrea Davis-Chism; her great-grandchild, Zion Chism; her nephews, Marc Saldhina and Scott Saldhina; and the memory of her beloved granddaughter, Vanessa Ojuri.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons-in-law, David Lake, Morris Davis, and Wale Ojuri; her cousins, Wesley Crichlow, Wayne Crichlow, Frank Crichlow, and Kerl Crichlow; and members of the Kirstein family, including Ursula Kirstein-Leppard, Erica Kirstein, and Doug Leppard.

She also leaves behind many dear family friends whose lives she touched deeply, including Harry and Mary Rosenberg, Noris, Bonita, Amaya, Alma, Karen, Christabelle, Ian, Charmaine, Adrienne Annette and Angela Soverall.

Joy's legacy lives on through the family and friends who were blessed to know and be touched by her. Her love, wisdom, generosity, and joyful spirit will forever remain in their hearts.

Her spirit has returned return to its ancestral home, journeying freely, unburdened and at peace, embraced by everlasting love and eternal light.
