

Lee Andrew Esmonde passed away after a long impossible battle with cancer on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough, Ontario. He was adamant he would recover and fought valiantly. He got his first miracle in December 2022 and spent eight months in a stable condition.
By his side was his loving wife Rosa, son Luke, daughter Rachel and sister Laurel.
He also leaves behind cousins across Canada who loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his father Larry, mother Ruby and brother Bob. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Lee’s gift in life was that he could drive anything, heavy machinery, cars, trucks and buses. He worked for the Toronto Transit Commission for over 10 years doing what he loved, driving. Lee was an avid fan of NASCAR; it was his favorite hobby, sport and holiday destination. His favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Earnhardt Jr. He also enjoyed building models and his train collection.

A visitation for Lee will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the funeral service on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON.
