

Slipped peacefully away with his family at his side on November 20, 2013 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father to Kim, Melissa and the late Mark. Doting grandfather to Ashley and Ryan. Predeceased by his brother Harold. Lewis will be dearly missed by his niece Cathy, nephew David, extended family and friends. Lew loved his family, especially grandchildren Ashley and Ryan he coached Melissa's soccer team. He was a wonderful kind man and every one loved him. He loved to sing and sang in church choirs and the eaton operetic society. He was very good to his mother and my mother. He was always very good to his neice and nephew David and Cathy and their spouses Gerry and Laura. He would do anything for anyone. He worked for Eatons, Sears and then last 19 years until he was 78 for Pine Tree Senors., driving the senors to programs and conducting the Pine Tree Choir. He was very active in the church . He loved to play bridge as well. He was born in New Hamburg, Ontario, he graduated from Ryerson and immediately went to work for Eatons. He got sick in 2010 and was unable to go back to work which he missed, he would still be working, Ashley used to call the ladies he took shopping Grandpa's Ladies, when she was a baby we used to meet them for lunch in the mall.Family and friends may visit at Giffen-Mack Scarborough Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East (one block west of Kingston Road), 416-281-6800, on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Monday at 1 pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 20 Kingston Road, Scarborough. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church on Monday. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epiphany Lutheran Church.
