April 13, 1945 – July 24, 2026
On July 24, 2026, we said a peaceful farewell to our beloved Marlyn Isobel Pawluk (née Hamilton), who slipped away gently with her two daughters by her side, holding her hand.
Marlyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Pawluk, with whom she is now joyfully reunited. She will be lovingly remembered as the devoted mother of Laura-Anne (Randy) and Robyn (Bill), and as "Gram" to her four cherished grandchildren, Vivianne, Jack, Luke, and Liam, a role she embraced with endless warmth and pride. She was the loving sister of Wayne (Linda), Jane (Grant), and Darla Lee (Jim), and now finds herself once more in the loving embrace of her parents, Marvin and Frances Hamilton, and her sisters, Joan and Betty-Lou.
Family was the heart of Marlyn's world, though she was equally driven in her career, balancing professional life with growing a family business alongside Bob, all while devoting herself to raising her children. She lit up whenever everyone gathered together, treasuring every memory made around the table, baking alongside family, over a game of cards, or at her beloved cottage. She carried herself with thoughtfulness, generosity, and compassion, meeting life's challenges with quiet determination and an unmistakable charisma that drew people to her.
Family and friends are invited to the visitations at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home (4115 Lawrence Ave. E., Scarborough) on Thursday, July 30, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM.
A private family funeral will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation, The Kidney Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation or a meaningful charity of your choice in Marlyn's memory.
We are deeply grateful to the entire team at Scarborough General Hospital for the tender and exceptional care they gave Marlyn, a comfort to our family in her final days.
