Passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017 at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre in her 91st year. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Bernard Colin. Loving mother of Veronica (Walter), Kevin (Margaret), Terry (Roswitha) and Michael (Sue). Proud Grandmother (Nan) of Michael (Anna Maria), Karen (Chad), Lisa (Larry), Sarah (Billy) and Great Grandmother to, Kayleigh, Bradley, Riley & Olivia, and Ryan.
Maureen, raised in Moate, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, leaves her extended Irish family - loving sisters Veronica and Kathleen and her Irish nieces, nephews.
Maureen and Colin arrived in Toronto, Canada, after their participation in the Second World War, and were pioneers on Poplar Road in West Hill. Maureen was a Registered Nursing Assistant, in Toronto, for over 25 years, loved ballroom dancing with Colin and fully supported her children in their chosen careers.
Private graveside service and Interment will be held at St. Margaret in-the-Pines Church Cemetery.
