Mary was born on March 20th, 1933, in Scarborough, Ontario. She spent her life creating a loving home for her husband and best friend William “Bill” Mount, married September 22, 1956, and her children Barbara (Gary), David (Laura), and James (Linda). Mary was also a grandmother to William, Joel (Nancy), Tiffany (Dan), and great-grandmother to Joshua and Andrew.
Her Love of teaching started in the 1950’s after attending Teacher College in Toronto, She taught three grades in one room at Scarborough School #3.
Mary was predeceased by her husband William, her sister Doreen and brother James.
She is survived by a loving family who will miss her dearly and honour her memory every day. Her life was a gift, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2, CA, on October 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Erskine Cemetery, Pickering, ON L1X 2P8, CA, on October 24, 2026, at 2:30PM. Reception will take place at Pickering Legion 606, 1555 Bayly St., Pickering, ON, L1W 3W1, 3:00PM to 6:00PM.
