Meglentine Anita Bovell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Meglentine Anita Bovell (Teach Mayglen, Anita) on Wednesday March 22, 2023. Beloved mother of Derek (Leslynne) Miller, Carl Miller, and the late Horace Bovell (Alma); beloved mother-in-law of Marilyn Miller; adoring grandmother to Carl Jr., Felicia, Gordon, Fabien, Alwyn, Tracy, Kiesha, and Samantha; aunt of Dr. Frank Bovell (Stephanie); sister-in-law of Vilma Bovell (late Morris Bovell). Meglentine was born in Stewartville, Guyana and resided there for 54 years before moving to Canada. She will be remembered for her spirituality, singing, independence, kindness, love, and imparting of knowledge. She will be deeply missed by all. May she REST IN ETERNAL PEACE. A visitation for Meglentine will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON M1E2S2. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Westview Presbyterian Church, 233 Westview Blvd, East York, ON M4B 3J7. Reception to follow at The Avenue Restaurant and Lounge located at 1085 Bellamy Rd. N., unit #4, Scarborough, ON M1H 3C7. For those who are unable to attend the service in person, a livestream will be done and there are two ways for you to join virtually.
