June 20, 1949 – February 8, 2024
Mona was born in Newfoundland, and moved to Toronto at age 17 and spent the majority of her life there. She was a kind and generous person, always willing to lend a hand wherever she could. Her most recent act of kindness was running a food bank for the benefit of her neighbours in need.
Loved and remembered by: son Richard; daughter Jacqueline, grandchildren Terry Bannister and Larry Wood; mother of her grandchildren Susan Wood; brothers James Sheppard (Karen) and Terry Sheppard (James Pratt); and many cousins and extended family. Predeceased by her husband, Frederick Bannister; parents Cortland and Rita Sheppard; and brother Calvin.
A celebration of Monas' life to be held at a later date.
