Olive Turner

Born on August 7th, 1928, in Lancashire, England, Olive married Frank Turner (deceased) in 1949 and emigrated to Toronto in 1954.

Olive worked hard to provide a loving home for her family and developed lasting friendships through the years. While working as an Assistant Librarian at Birchmount Collegiate for 25 years, she also achieved a lifelong dream of upgrading her educational qualifications. She developed her artistic talents by learning to paint, and fulfilled her love of the outdoors by hiking the 700 km-long Bruce Trail, taking up bird-watching, and by travelling throughout North America and Europe.

Olive will be missed by her family and friends: Children Howard, Susan, Paul and Helen. Grandchildren Jack Turner (Jenna), Rob Turner, Dan Turner (Carol), Robert Mann (Cassandra) and Charlene Mann. Great-grandchildren Jayden Mann, Madison Mann, Logan Mann, Khloe Mann, Joshua Mann, Lawson Turner and Vincent Turner.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Olive on Saturday 25th July 2026 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, in Scarborough. Lunch will be provided and memories shared among friends and family.
