Philomena Fernandes passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 9, 2026, in her 84th year. She’s survived by her three children, Debbie (Clive), Michelle, and Derek (Candice); her 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Daniel and her brother Trevor and sister Vera.
She spent her life as a registered nurse and dedicated her life to helping others. In her pastime she became an avid painter and was also known above all for having a green thumb.
Visitation will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON, M1E2S2, CA, on July 17, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Ave East, West Hill, ON, M1E2S2, CA, on July 18, 2026, from 11:00 am, followed by the burial at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON, L6B 1A8, CA.
