Robert Elgin Hanna

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Mary Hanna, who passed away in September 2016. He was the cherished father of Rebecca, and Rob (Jacqui), proud grandfather to Maeghan, Kate (Cameron), Jenna, Malcolm (Jordyn), and MJ, and loving great-grandfather to Brecken and Brett.

A lifelong lover of lacrosse, Bob was a player, coach, and dedicated member of the lacrosse community. His passion for the game continued throughout his life, including sharing it with his great-grandson Brecken during their games together at the park.

Bob dedicated his career to education as an elementary school teacher and principal, touching the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues along the way.

Above all, Bob treasured his family and the simple moments spent together. He loved watching his grandchildren swim laps in his pool, cheered them on from the sidelines during their sports and activities and never turned down a bowl of chocolate ice cream, a cigar or a rum and coke. These are the moments his family will hold closest.

Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will take place in November 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends as they become available.
