Shirley Hawes, 89 years old, passed on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 in her home in Pickering, Ontario.
Her endless devotion to her children Jacqueline, Lloyd, Gilchrist, Stephanie and Averil and their families Thomas, Joshua, Liz, Asia, Sofia, Rubina, Phani, Esther, Neil, Jonathan and Amanda will always be cherished. She filled our lives with gentle love, unwavering faith, encouragement, and kindness. The love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the warmth she shared will remain in our hearts forever.
She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Now she rests in the presence of the Lord.
She enjoyed keeping her mind active by doing crossword puzzles and playing board games with her children and grandchildren, creating many treasured memories together.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, West Hill, on Friday July 10th, at 10 AM to Noon, immediately followed by a funeral service, then followed by a traditional burial at Christ the King Catholic cemetery, 7770 Steeles Avenue East, Markham.
