We announce the peaceful passing of Violet Eleanor Grace Combaluzier, born January 10, 1926 and died December 20, 2022. Violet was a devoted wife to her late husband Louis, and she will be deeply missed by her loving sons John (Carol) and David (Margaret), and cherished grandchildren William, Katie, and Megan. Violet was predeceased by her siblings Wilfred (Elsie), Eva, Jack, and Margaret (Alister McTaggart), and was a proud Aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Violet spent many wonderful years caring for her family, entertaining family and friends and baking with her husband, whom she met at the bakeshop at Yonge and St. Clair. We will miss her kindness, gentle nature and wonderful sense of humour. Violet was a faithful church-goer, recently of Guildwood Presbyterian Church. Violet was a lifelong resident of Toronto, recently of Chartwell Pickering, until comfortably passing at Scarborough Health Network.
A Graveside Service will be held at Westminster Cemetery on Friday, December 30 at 11:30 am, located at 5830 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scott Mission or the charity of your choice in Violet’s name. A celebration of of life will be held in June, please reach out to the family for more details.
