Wayne Dean Todd

It is with great sadness the family of Wayne Todd announce his sudden passing, at the age of 73, on January 16, 2023 at Centenary Hospital. A dedicated and loving family man Wayne was beloved husband to Margaret Ann, adoring Dad to Christopher, Jennifer (Tobi) and Kevin (Cass) and cherished Gramps of Cooper (Mother: Clairissa), James, Jackson, Samuel and Rowan. Predeceased by his dear parents Florence and George and parents-in-law Alice and Donald. A great friend, neighbour and proud Canadian, Wayne was a retired mechanical engineer from OPG and will be sadly missed. A hard working and lifelong learner, he had a passion for building and fixing anything and everything, always very generous with his time in helping others. He took great pride in being actively involved and supporting the lives of his wife, children and grandchildren. In between projects he enjoyed curling, golfing, skiing, dancing, hiking, cottaging, travelling and having a beer with friends. A true gentleman with a big heart, Wayne was a role model to many. He shared his talents freely with family and friends, building community in all areas of his life. He lived and died with a gracious and positive outlook. Friends and family will be received at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home on Tuesday January 24, 2023 for visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., funeral service at 2:00 p.m. and reception to follow. Wayne will be laid to rest at a private family service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who cannot attend the service in person, a livestream link will be available.
