

Alan Selig Levine was born in Brooklyn, New York, and later resided in Staten Island and Queens before retiring and settling in Delray Beach, Florida. He passed away peacefully on 1/27/2026 at the age of 95, while residing at an assisted living facility in Wellington, Florida.
Al proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he was a veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, he attended Brooklyn College. He went on to dedicate over 34 years of service to the United States Postal Service, a career he took great pride in.
Al was a very independent man and a hard worker until the end of his life—qualities that defined him both personally and professionally. In retirement, Al generously volunteered his time at the local hospital and hospice healthcare.
Al was affiliated with Jewish War Veterans and the Knights of Pythias, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service and community.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in seeing the world. Al loved to travel, taking cruises with his beloved wife and close friends, creating memories that he treasured deeply. He especially enjoyed going out to eat, tackling word search and crossword puzzles, and settling in to watch sports. A devoted baseball fan, he was most loyal to the New York Mets, cheering them on with true dedication. Music was another great comfort and passion for Al, with Neil Diamond and Frank Sinatra holding a special place in his heart.
Above all, Al loved people. He truly enjoyed talking with others, sharing stories about growing up in Brooklyn, the Korean War, the latest baseball or football scores and players and telling jokes to anyone willing to listen.
Al was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sarah Levine; his first wife June Albrizio; his beloved wife, Judy Levine; and his brother, Sandy Levine.
He is survived by his son, Michael Levine; his daughter, Geri Anne Fox, and her husband, Michael Fox; and his cherished grandsons, Nicholas Fox and Matthew Fox, who brought him great pride and joy.
Al will be remembered for his independence, strong work ethic, kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 2:30PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd. 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241 with a private luncheon to follow. Please arrive 20 minutes early.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated through Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation & Event Center, West Palm Beach, Florida.
