

She was born and raised in Ft. Pierce, FL. Alicia was incredibly determined to further her education and ultimately earned two masters degrees including an MSW from Barry University. She held a number of professional licenses including ones for Paramedic and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She was always committed to helping others. Early on she was a talented hairdresser and taught elementary school for a number of years. She later became a paramedic and had a long career with PBC Fire Rescue as a Community Educator, Community Assistance Team Coordinator, and Fire Safety Specialist. Her greatest career joy came from being an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University and her Alma Mater, Barry University. Her students adored and respected her and they will be a lasting legacy.
Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Kula and sister, Stephanie Kula Ritz.
She is survived by the love of her life, Robert White; Brother, Don Kula (Marti); sister-in-law Christy Jones (Jerry); best friend, Rita Schroeder; and beloved dog, Choo-Cha-Bell and precious cat menagerie.
A Memorial Service will be held at DeSantis Chapel at PBAU, 300 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:30 PM with a Celebration of Life following from 4:00-6:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417. For the latter, please dress in your “Disney Park tourist attire” and prepare to give Alicia a “Magical” send-off! Don’t miss the toast at 5:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital or Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in Alicia’s memory.
