Born in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1962, Debbie moved to West Palm Beach right after high school to work at the Palm Beach County Courthouse, where she met her future husband Al LaSorte. Debbie then enrolled at Florida Atlantic University and went on to become a teacher in the Palm Beach County Public School System.
Debbie was known for her huge heart, and her willingness to help any and all who may be in need. She had a smile that would light up any room, and was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Debbie was a long-time volunteer with Kenya Relief, making trips to Kenya to help support its wonderful medical clinic, orphanage and school. She will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she impacted for the better.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of thirty-two years, Al, their son Andrew and daughter Allie, parents Loyd Reichert and Patricia Reichert, sister Lori Shuee (Brent), brother Todd Reichert, niece Lauren Fair (Drew), nephew Billy Walters (Kimberly), brothers-in-law Joseph LaSorte (Lisa), Michael LaSorte and David LaSorte, and numerous extended family.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 19 at 11:30 am at Quattelbaum Funeral Home, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing immediately before the memorial service, beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kenya Relief. A link has been set up on the Kenya Relief website for this purpose. Please go to KenyaRelief.org/donate and look for the “In memory of Debbie LaSorte” link.
