Nichole “Nikki” Kahn, of Palm Beach, who created a life defined by elegance, courage, and an extraordinary capacity for joy, died on January 7th. She was 48.
Nikki was born in Norwalk, Connecticut to Pamela and David Brash, and lived in Chicago and Philadelphia before moving to Palm Beach with her husband Matthew in 2016. She was a lifelong dancer, taking ballet, tap and jazz starting at three years old. Nikki graduated from Western Michigan University in 2000 with a double major in dance and business.
In 2008, Nikki was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Rather than retreat from life, she transformed her diagnosis into purpose, becoming one of the few Pilates instructors in the country certified to teach clients with neurological disorders. Through this work, she offered those struggling with balance problems, muscle spasticity and weakness the gift of movement and hope – all while facing her own similar challenges.
Many who knew Nikki never realized the pain she lived with daily; she was determined to embrace every moment and find joy wherever she could. Her love of dance was evident in how she moved through the world with grace. Thus she will be remembered in all her elegant glory – dressed beautifully, trailed by her doting dogs, adorned with jewelry that sparkled as brightly as her spirit, and wearing an unforgettable smile. Her generosity, fierce loyalty, and courageous heart touched countless lives.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Kahn; her parents, Pamela and David Brash; her siblings, Whitney Wilson, Morgan Brash, and Stephanie Rodriguez; and her beloved nieces and nephews. Nichole was also loved as a daughter by Matthew's mother, Fran Kahn.
A memorial service will be held at noon at the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center on January 10th, 2026.
