Susan Thorp

Thorp, Susan (nee Hyland), 76, of West Palm Beach, passed away September 21, 2018. She was born in Chicago, IL and graduated from Barrington High School. She went on to Southern Illinois University and completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Susan married William Thorp in 1960. Her career path led her to McDonald Douglas Aircraft as well as several other assignments in the field of IT. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Mayacoo Lakes Country Club. Susan had a passion for playing bridge and golf and was also a fan of Sudoku puzzles. Susan is survived by her husband of 58 years, William, son Jeffrey, daughter Deborah, granddaughter Katelyn and sister-in-law Marcia. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, October 13th at 4:00pm with a reception to follow, at Quattlebaum FH, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach.
