Judge Timothy Paul Poulton, 90, passed away on February 8, 2022. He was born in 1931 in Pennsylvania, and grew up in Mt. Dora, Florida, attending the University of Florida and graduating from law school there. He served in the United States Air Force until being honorably discharged in 1956. He married his wife, Katharine Culpepper, in 1960. He served as Attorney for the City of Boca Raton and became a county court judge in 1972 and then circuit court judge in 1973, serving until 1990. After retiring, he engaged in mediation practice for ten years, helping to resolve cases throughout South Florida and co-authoring a leading statewide treatise on mediation practice. He was very involved in the community and the lives of his four children. He coached t-ball, little league, and football, and was a volunteer at local nature centers. He was a backyard boat builder and avid gardener. He is survived by his wife Katharine, daughter Patricia, sons Thomas, Bryan, and John, by his grandson Quinn, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Quattlebaum Funeral Home located at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach. Family friends and colleagues are invited to come together for brief remarks, to visit with each other, and to honor the memory and life of Judge Poulton.
